AMAL MA’ANI-HESSARI

Amal qualified with distinctions as a graphic designer in 1985 from Cambourne School of Art and Design, England. Having acquired extensive experience in London with King & Associates and working with international clients including Del Monte, Body Shop, British Caledonian and Boots. Amal moved to Northern Ireland and was appointed as Head of Design at Creative Image Advertising. He progressed to become Chief Executive of Paper Plane Design prior to establishing Rocket Design Partnership in 1992, regarded as one of Northern Ireland’s leading design consultancies by both clients and the industry alike. Clients included Northern Bank, National Trust, Thompsons Feed, SHS Group, BDO, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ulster TV.
Amal was awarded a fellowship from the internationally recognised Chartered Society of Designers in 1996. He is a member of the South African Association of Professional Designers.

With over 25 years experience in marketing, design and public relation work in Europe, Amal brings a wealth of experience into One Circle International. With insight and knowledge of the fast paced and evolving design industry.

This vision implies the development in the individual of a global consciousness a sense of world citizenship and a love for humanity as a whole.

Amal’s design entry for the South African Parliament’s new emblem embraces this concept fully. He was one of the finalists working with the Parliament on creating the new emblem that was launched in March 2007.
